HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

So sorry for being absent from the blog all week so far!  It's always crazy when u get back in town after being gone for 3 weeks.  We got home Sunday morning and you are always SO tired after traveling all night.  You never really sleep very good on the plane.  I could have slept all afternoon Sunday but I have found that staying awake all day is the best way to get adjusted to the time change.  So, me and David decided to get out our christmas tree and decorations!  So not only did we have the mess of me unpacking - but the mess of Christmas stuff ALL OVER! ha ha, I mean why not right?!  But, now our house is all decorated for Christmas and the mess is all cleaned up!

On Monday I babysat.  It was good to see the kids again after so many weeks.  They had a lot of energy and made me laugh.  They asked me to read them a book and I kept pronouncing the ducks name wrong and they thought it was hillarious.  Tuesday, I got up and made lasagna for me and David!  Then I had a hair appointment and I cut 3 inches off my hair!  So now its blonde again and really short!  The lasagna turned out good and I was able to cut most of it up and freeze it.  When David get's home at 9 from work and is hungry its something easy he can heat up (and not make a huge mess!).

Yesterday, I had a dr's appointment in the morning and then I went over to my parents house to bake pies with my sister.  We made a cherry pie and 2 pumpkin pies.  Here is a picture of my cherry pie! I am probably biased, but I think I make the BEST crust and my cherry pie is darn good.  Even people who
usually don't like cherry pie like my cherry pie!
Me and Tricia have so much fun baking pies each year, its one of my most favorite traditions.  One year we sold our pies - we named our business "Sisters Pies".  We didn't stay in business more than one year because we had told everyone our pies were $10 and no one took us serious that we were actually charging for them.  So we ended up spending 12 hours making 15 pies, and no one paid us.  No joke, NO ONE paid us.  So, Sisters Pies quickly went out of business. ha ha.  We did give one of our pumpkin pies to my grandpa and Pattie and they love our pies.  They count on getting one of our pies each year.  At the end of this post I will post some pictures of Sisters Pies.  Then last night I had to go into work for a "Black Friday" meeting at work.  They told us all the specials they will be having and how they want us to interact with the customers.  Should be a crazy day!  I am actually looking forward to it!  I am sure the day will go by very quick.

Well, today is Thanksgiving.  I can honestly say this is one of my most favorite holidays.  I am so thankful for everything in my life.  I have the best husband, the best parents, the best sister, wonderful friends - I feel very lucky.  Thank you so much for reading my blog and hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
